What a Fabulous weekend!!

A great time was had by all at the 2009 MOPS Convention in Nashville, TN. The sessions were great with a lot of useful and uplifting information. On Friday night we were treated with a little comedy from Ken Davis. He had us laughing, non-stop, for 30 - 45 minutes. It was so refreshing to hear "clean" comedy.

We were lead in wonderful worship by Matthew West, Christy Nockels, and a final concert by Natalie Grant. If you have never heard anything by any of these artists, I urge you to do so now. They are songs filled with wonderful praise, hope, and love!

We even had time to act a little silly. Which is comes pretty easy to a few of us. Ha!

New friendships were made, and established friendships were made stronger. I'm looking forward to seeing how God uses our MOPS ministry in reaching out to those moms who feel alone, and watching us engage in the relationships available to all of us at MOPS!!

Where did the week go?

WOW! What a week! I have been looking forward to this weekend since early summer. The week started with me being a little overwhelmed of all that I needed to accomplish this week. Monday seemed like a long day, with Tuesday slowly following behind. Then, it seems, as quickly as I blink my eyes it is Friday. Tuesday was filled with a day of running errands to get bags, ribbon, clothes (for Anna Kate for Disney), and I actually was able to fit in a breakfast and a lunch with two very dear friends.

Wednesday greeted us with hair cut appointments for both Jacob and Anna Kate. What a time that was. It was the first cut for Anna Kate and she was great!!! Both hair cuts were by the fabulous hair "designer", Betsy Wright. I LOVE her!

While we were waiting to get the cuts, one of Jacob's teachers at MDO walked in. He looked at her and with hands on his hips, said, "Ginny!" (Spoken in the tone of what are you doing here?) Needless to say, he enjoyed watching Mrs. Ginny get her hair done. Thankfully, she came in and that was entertainment for him.

Thursday I spent the morning working at the church helping to get ready for the consignment sale. Then, I cam home and did all the grunt work of house cleaning before my weekend away. There is still stuff out of place. I told Michael that could be his job. He does a much better job at doing that than I do. I tend to just move it from one place to the other. Michael finds it a home. Then I went shopping at the early sale for consigner's at the church. I got a lot of great stuff for Anna Kate and a few pieces for Jacob. I was so excited! And the kids had a fabulous baby sitter, Hali Beth!! They LOVE her!

Now, I am anxiously awaiting the time to arrive for my trip with 3 fabulous women. I am looking forward to the MOPS Convention we will be attending. But I have to say, I am looking forward to hanging out these ladies more than anything. A lot of laughs will be had, I am sure!!

What a day!

Wow!!! What a day it is. And it's only 10 after 11. Jacob is hungry. But is belly is hurting when I suggest anything he might be interested in eating. If it's not candy......... He doesn't want it. Belly hurting and candy. Those go together. Right?

Anna Kate on the other hand, has teeth coming in and is being a little whiny. She is also staring at her brother like he is crazy. I find myself doing the same thing. Anna Kate is also "no-ing" EVERYTHING. But she is so proud of herself because she can say it so well. It is actually kind of cute, too. We find ourselves turning our heads when she says it so she doesn't see us laughing.

In the midst of trying to get ready for the consignment sale at EMBC, my house is a wreck. We are tempted to leave it this way and let it continue to get worse and then call Clean House and Neecy Nash. But, I can't live like that, neither can Michael. And what a horrible thing to do to our kids. So, the house will get cleaned one day this week. I hope.

Long time, No write

When I quit my job, I had great intentions of keeping up with this blogging thing. Well, those intentions didn't last very long. The only excuse I really have is that I got lazy. I could say that life got in the way but, what an overused excuse. Yes life is there. But we sure don't let it get in the way of some things. Like spending endless hours on facebook, going to Target or the mall and spending money we don't have, and so many other time wasting "activities". So, in the mornings when I usually sit here at the computer looking at facebook waiting for someone to post something interesting, cool or absurd; I will instead try to post something on here. Even if it is just a one sentence post (but not likely to happen). Enjoy your weekend. Posting on the weekends won't be happening. Just hope I remember to post on Monday.
